FKF Premier League newbies Fortune Sacco have roped in five players to beef up the squad ahead of their top-tier debut. The Kirinyaga-based club earned a promotion to Kenya’s top league after finishing second in the second division. This was a bounce back from the side after they narrowly missed out on promotion during the 2020/21 campaign.Unlike what has been the norm with most clubs after promotion, Fortune have not tinkered with their team much and are just replacing players who left the club for other teams.“We are only signing five players. We have a quality team and we are majorly replacing the players that left for other clubs. Otherwise, we have full confidence in our squad and we are looking forward to the start of the new season. The players are excited and I am confident that we are going to perform well in the FKF Premier League,” team manager Peter Mureithi told Mozzart Sport.##NAJAVA_MECA_6606907##Leading the new arrivals is Ziyadi Kiwanuka. The central defender returns to the club after one season. He left the team last September and joined FC Talanta before decamping in February to join Kariobangi Sharks.
