Barely a fortnight since they were instructed to pay Malian goalkeeper Adama Traore over one million in dues that they owe him, Gor Mahia could find themselves further in hot water after the custodian returned to the world football governing body seeking further payments. Two weeks ago, FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber instructed Gor Mahia to pay the goalkeeper a total of 1,011,750 plus interest accrued over breach of contract after they failed to pay him his salary prompting the custodian, through Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA) to sue the club. He got a reprieve when Gor, who are already under a FIFA suspension over the same issue involving former players were directed to pay him his dues up to June 2022.The player, was in July axed by the club alongside Congolese striker Yangayay Sando Sando. He had over a year left in his contract at the time of his axing and he now wants Gor Mahia compelled to pay him for what he says is unlawful termination.FIFA has ordered Gor Mahia to pay Malian goalkeeper, Adama Keita Ksh. 1,011,750 plus 5% interest for each month over breach of contract. The payment must be made within 45 days or else Gor will be banished from signing players.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/g9TzwWNVWp— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) August 23, 2022 “I went back to FIFA because they terminated my contract illegally in July. As you know, the initial payment as directed by FIFA was for the first year, my contract was to run until June 2023. I had a two-year contract with the club and they now have to pay the full amount for the remainder of the contract that they breached,” he stated.”I was on a monthly salary of USD 1600 per month and so they have to pay for the 12 months plus to air tickets whose rate is between 1500-1800 USD. I want the payments made as soon as possible so that both parties can focus on other things,” he added.##NAJAVA_MECA_6606774##Gor Mahia are currently under a FIFA-imposed transfer ban.
