Oketch leaves Kakamega Homeboyz after four seasons

Kakamega Homeboyz have parted ways with veteran right back Benjamin Oketch following the expiry of his contract.Oketch who can also play in central defence leaves Homeboyz after four years of service having joined the side in 2018 from the defunct Chemelil Sugar.Homeboyz Team Manager Bonface Imbenzi revealed that the player was released after running out his contract but ruled out the possibility of signing a new defender considering the department is crowded.##NAJAVA_MECA_6615856##Oketch, who possesses an eye for goal despite being a defender was sparingly used last season as coach Bernard Mwalala preferred Collins Odhiambo as the first choice right back.“Oketch has left the club as his contract expired at the end of the past month.
