Lewa breaks his goalscoring duck against Sevilla as Barca stroll through Andalusia

Barcelona made it three La Liga wins in a row with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Sevilla at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday night. Robert Lewandowski was at his best, but it was former Sevilla defender Jules Kounde who excelled with two assists to punish Los Nervionenses.Sevilla have not beaten Barcelona in La Liga since October 2015. On that occasion, the team coached by Unai Emery defeated Luis Enrique’s Barca 2-1. Since this match, there have been nine Barca victories and four draws. And those nine wins quickly looked like turning into ten as Xavi’s team dominated from the get-go.Lewandowski showed that he’s exactly what Barca has been missing in the past couple of seasons. His movement and his very presence gives this team structure and a focal point. He raced clear and tried to chip goalkeeper Bono, but fellow newcomer Raphinha was on hand to head into the net from close range. That’s what $113.3 million worth of talent can get you. It was Raphinha’s first competitive goal for the Catalan club.Lewa got on the scoresheet himself with a classy finish from Kounde’s cross. The Polish hitman chested the ball down and fired past Bono, with Sevilla defenders looking on in awe. Speaking of Kounde, he was booed by the fans who adored him not long ago. But he showed respect to his former club by not celebrating the goal he created.Sevilla’s attacks were futile, with Youssef En-Nesyri unable to get service from Ivan Rakitic, Erik Lamela and the rest of the overrun midfield. On the other side, Barca defenders combined to make the gulf even wider. Kounde headed down a Raphinha cross, leaving Eric Garcia the easiest of tasks to prod from close range with Bono stranded. It was a depressing night for Julen Lopetegui, whose team remains winless and hovering just above the relegation zone with one measly point from four games. It’s going to be a long season – but Lopetegui might not be at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to see the end of it.LA LIGA – MATCHDAY 4Friday Celta Vigo – Cadiz 3-0 (0-0)/Aspas 56, 75, Rodriguez 62/SaturdayMallorca – Girona 1-1 (0-0)/Raillo 87 – Saiz 90+2 pen/Real Madrid – Real Betis 2-1 (1-1)/Vinicius 9, Rodrygo 65 – Caanles 17/Real Sociedad – Atletico Madrid 1-1 (0-1)/Sadiq 55 – Morata 5/Sevilla – Barcelona 0-3 (0-2)/Raphinha 21, Lewandowski 36, Garcia 50/Sunday 15.00: (2.19) Osasuna (3.20) Rayo Vallecano (4.00)17.15: (1.63) Ath.Bilbao (3.90) Espanyol (6.75)19.30: (1.39) Villareal (4.90) Elche (9.50)22.00: (2.04) Valencia (3.30) Getafe (4.00)Monday 22.00: (2.50) Valladolid (3.20) Almeria (3.25)***odds are subject to change
