Nzoia Sugar FC chairman Evans Kadenge has explained why his three players, who had been linked with Tusker and even trained with the Brewers with a view of completing a move to the champions, are still with the club.James Kibande, Joseph Mwangi, and Kevin Juma were all expected to join Tusker and had even trained with the club for weeks as the two clubs engaged in transfer business. In the end, all the moves fell through and the players are back at Nzoia ahead of the new season.##NAJAVA_MECA_6615472##According to the millers’ boss, the transfers could not be completed as the Brewers were unwilling to pay any transfer fees for their signature. The club opted to sign six free agents from other clubs. They are Eric Mmata, Tom Teka, and Boniface Onyango all from Kariobangi Sharks, Eric Otieno from Wazito FC, David Doyo from Green Commandos, and Brian Opondo from Bidco United.“Tusker were interested in three of our players, we named our price but they have since written to us saying they are not in a position to pay any transfer fees this window and this means that the players will remain with us.Our aim is always to give players a platform and see them progress and move to bigger teams and leagues but again it is important that the club benefits because we invest a lot in these players and so if a player has to leave, it has to be for good terms for all the parties involved,” Kadenge said.We had another build up match this morning against National Super League side Murang’a Seal, which ended in a 4-3 victory.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/y4J5cLnTSo— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) September 2, 2022 Kadenge believes retaining the trio means they will have a stronger team than last season and says that they are going to be very competitive.“We will have a good team, we have brought in a few good players and I believe that we are stronger than we were last season and we are going to compete well. Our opponents should be ready for a solid Nzoia Sugar FC,” he added.
