After first half an hour of tonight’s game between PSG and Juventus, it seemed that the Italian team experience a disaster at the Parc des Princes. PSG and its stars played some atomic football like from video games, and the Bianconeri could not catch Mbappe, Neymar and Messi. But, when Juventus managed to score, PSG showed the old problem of not being able to finish the game easily after a dominant display. In the second half, Juventus consolidated, established balance and could even get a point. However, the mistakes of the local attackers were canceled by Donnarumma with some good defenses and the victory of the Saints was preserved – 2:1.Kylian Mbappé in the first half vs. Juventus:100% chance conversion91% pass accuracy32 touches 4 duels contested 3 duels won 3 touches in opp. box3 fouls won 2 shots 2 goals At the double. ⚽⚽#UCL pic.twitter.com/Z9BAmn6qJu— Squawka (@Squawka) September 6, 2022 PSG grinded Juventus during the first 30 minutes. The Parisians were in constant attack, and Mbappe scored from a volley after only 5 minutes. Again Neymar was the assistant, as he took the ball over Bremer’s head to his number 7. Second goal was a similar one, but this time it was Hakimi with the assist and again Mbappe with a goal from the straight shot. Newly acquired defender Bremer showed how slow he really is, as literally everybody were faster than him, especially Neymar. Juve players couldn’t do anything apart from making strong fouls on Mbappe and Neymar all half. And then in the second half, PSG just stopped playing. Juventus obviously got some harsh words from coach Allegri and the Italian team took the initiative. Miretti, who already had a yellow card was substituted by McKennie and it was a great substitution, since the American scored the only goal for Juventus, but enough to make the Parisian nervous. Kepeer Donnarumma made a mistake but was brilliants minutes later, when he saved Vlahovic’s shot from 5 meters and prevented an unpleasant equalizer. PSG soon took control of the match and put the pressure, but the third goal was nowhere to be seen. Mbappe, Neymar and Messi were real threat and played great but failed to get the third goal. Still, in the end, Mbappe’s brace was enough for the first win in this year’s Champions League.UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – MATCHDAY 1Tuesday Dinamo Zagreb – Chelsea 1-0 (1-0)/Orsic 13/Dortmund – Copenhagen 3-0 (2-0)/Reus 35, Guerreiro 42, Bellingham 83/Salzburg – Milan 1-1 (1-0)/Saelemaekers 40 – Okafor 28/Celtic – Real Madrid 0-3 (0-0)/Junior 56, Modric 60, Hazard 77/RB Leipzig – Shakhtar 1-4 (0-1)/Simakan 57 – Shved 16, 58, Mydruk 76, Traore 85/Sevilla – Man City 0-4 (0-1)/Haaland 20, 67, Foden 58, Dias 90+2/Benfica – Maccabi Haifa 2-0 (0-0)/Silva 49, Grimaldo 54/PSG – Juventus 2-1 (2-0)/Mbappe 5,22 – McKennie 53/Wednesday 19.45: (1.50) Ajax (4.60) Rangers (7.00)19.45: (2.25) Eintr.Frankfurt (3.50) Sporting (3.35)22.00: (3.80) Napoli (3.60) Liverpool (2.05)22.00: (1.85) Atl.Madrid (3.50) Porto (5.00)22.00: (3.40) Club Brugge (3.60) Leverkusen (2.20)22.00: (1.07) Barcelona (15.0) Plzen (35.0)22.00: (4.10) Inter (3.80) Bayern (1.92)22.00: (1.53) Tottenham (4.30) Olympique Marseille (7.00)***odds are subject to change
