Ulinzi Stars head coach Vincent ‘Moriero’ Otieno is happy to have forwards Boniface Muchiri and Hillary Simiyu in the team and believes that he pair will help solve he team’s goal-scoring crisis.Muchiri will be turning out for the Soldiers for the firs time. The winger left Tusker FC in December for military training and is now set to wear Ulinzi’s red and white. Simiyu, who joined the team before the start of last season from Nzoia Sugar FC had left to undergo training as well and he is equally back in the team.##NAJAVA_MECA_6614425##The duo’s return is definitely a big boost for the Soldiers who last season struggled to score goals. They only managed 20 goals all season. Only Mathare United, who did not finish the season scored fewer (11).The new coach is happy to have the two in his squad this season. He admits that they are not in the best shape but believes that they will get sharper and help ease the team’s scoring problems next season.“It is a big positive for us because I know what they are capable of. Right now, they are struggling to some extent because they have been away for long but as time goes by they will pick and they will come good. Both players are goal-scorers and they will address what was our main problem last season. I am happy to have them with the team next season,” he stated.UPDATE:Former Tusker FC forward Boniface Muchiri has joined Ulinzi Stars FC.He joins them after a successful completion of his six months military training at the Recruit Training School in Eldoret.#ScoreCrunchesPhoto Courtesy. pic.twitter.com/R71YSNishX— ScoreCrunches (@ke_score) August 1, 2022 The team’s forward line has further been boosted by the signing of attacking midfielder, Ruben Mita and last season’s National Super League (NSL) top scorer, Elly Saenyi.
