Samuel Twago returns to Soy United after cutting ties with Vihiga United

FKF Division One side, Soy United have reappointed Samuel Twago as their new head coach ahead of the 2022/23 season whose kick-off date remains uncertain.Twago, returns to the club after two seasons with Vihiga United where he served as Mike Mururi’s assistant. The pair worked together at Soy before they decamped to Vihiga last year. They got relegated to the second tier at the end of 2020/21 season and they remained with the team in the second tier last season.Soy, who parted ways with coach Peter Okidi at the end of last season after failing to lead the team back to the second tier have now landed Twago this time as their head coach. He will be assisted by Soy stalwart Jacob Atinda and Timothy Ondeko. Kevin Wamalwa will serve as the team manager.“I can confirm the return of Twago to the club. There were seven applicants for the job and he emerged top. He is an experienced coach, understands our club well and we are confident that he will perform. We hope that things will change, we want things to run more professionally. There has to proper flow of information to ensure that our leagues run well,” he added.On his team’s recruitment, the administrator says they are in the process of bringing on board new players.“We started the selection process on 3rd September.
