2019 Under 16 national girls champions Wiyeta Girls Secondary School and Dagoretti Mixed High School punched tickets to Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSA) national football girls final after beating Itigo Girls and St. Maurice Mwira High School respectively.The results mean that Wiyeta who were representing Rift Valley region and Dagoretti Mixed from Nairobi region will fly the Kenyan flag in the upcoming East Africa Secondary School Games set for September 15 to 23 in Arusha, Tanzania.KSSSA: Relentless Kisumu Day annihilate Olbolsat to book football semis berthWiyeta were emphatic 6-0 winners against Itigo and having booked a place in the finals, they will be looking to claim their eighth national title after dominating in recent years.Lavender Akinyi was the star of the show for Wiyeta as she bagged a hat-trick with her first coming in the 28th minute while she notched a second half brace, finding the back of the net in the 51st and 65th minute.Shylyne Opisa managed to secure a brace in the clash, with all her goals coming in the first half as Wanda Edna’s fourth minute goal started things of in the massive victory.The match was a repeat of the Rift Valley region games where Wiyeta beat Itigo 1-0 to claim the regional title.Dagoretti Mixed had Fascilia Odhiambo to thank as her seventh minute strike sealed the narrow win over Mwira who left the pitch in tears as they needed consoling following the deflating defeat.KSSSA: Ebwali top Group A after thumping HighwayThe final of the games pitting Wiyeta and Dagoretti Mixed are slated for Monday 12 September at the Nakuru Boys High School.Mwira and Itigo will also contest for the third place playoffs on Monday.
