Wazito FC eleven-year football journey which began at the University of Nairobi has finally landed them in Muhoroni, Kisumu County.Rumors of the club’s acquisition have been rife in the past few days, with little information filtering out, but Mozzart Sport can now report that the team is currently based in Muhoroni.The team trained at Muhoroni Stadium, playing a seven-a-side match on Sunday, as they continue preparations in anticipation of the 2022/23 Kenyan Premier League season kick-off.Wazito football club is under a new owner and will now be based in Kisumu.The club will however not change its name.#OriginSport pic.twitter.com/xuDJncD9qO— Carol Radull (@CarolRadull) September 9, 2022 “We will be alternating between training in Kisumu and Muhoroni,” said the head coach Jeff Odongo.”Moi Stadium Kisumu is a bit crowded with many clubs using it for training and hosting matches, and it also needs advance booking, while Muhoroni Stadium is always available,” Jeff added.Odongo, who is single handedly handling the team with no assistant or goalkeeper trainer at the moment, has confirmed two build-up matches against Kisumu All Stars and St. Peter’s Mumias Boys High School at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu on Thursday.UPDATEJoel Odongo has officially bought Wazito FC from Ricardo Badoer.
