Fire spitting Shimanyula wants league kick off date debacle resolved soon

Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula wants the ‘confusion’ surrounding the commencement of the 2022/23 season resolved as soon as possible so that teams can prepare with a clear plan in place.Teams have been left in limbo after FKF President Nick Mwendwa announced his return to football and went ahead to announce that the leagues will kick off in around a month’s time on Tuesday after President William Ruto was sworn in.This comes at a time when the FKF Transition Committee has penciled league kick-off for 24th September. It remains unclear if teams will agree to play under the Transition Committee following Mwendwa’s announcement. The clubs have been left in limbo and Shimanyula says they are in an awkward situation.”It’s confusing because we do not understand who’s in charge. On one side the transition committee says the league starts on the 24th while on the other end Nick says the league will start in October. This puts teams in a very awkward situation,” he stated.FIFA, CAF,Harambee stars, Harambee starlets, The Premier League, All Leagues, Football pale mashinani, Coaches, Referees and all officials.Get ready pale pre-season shughuli ndio hii. We need to know who’s in charge of football right now. Because we hear that all the matches that we played last season were friendlies and we don’t want to take that path again. The two bodies need to give us a way forward because right now we are spending a lot of money preparing for the new season that we do not know when it will start, this needs to come to an end,”.Elsewhere AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda insists that they will play in the league run by the Transition Committee. He opines that the committee has the blessings of the government and will thus honour their fixtures. His Gor Mahia counterpart Ambrose Rachier on the other hand said that there is no need of playing in a league with the nation currently suspended. He says all efforts should be channeled towards having the suspension lifted.Mmata dreaming of Harambee Stars call up after splendid debut season
