Kenya Police FC downed AFC Leopards 1-0 in a friendly match staged at the Nyayo National Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. With the league’s commencement date a subject of speculation and push and pull, the two teams decided to face off in a bid to sharpen their squads and also remain fit ahead of the 2022/23 season commencement. The match was largely a balanced affair with both teams showing their qualities in all departments. The first half ended in a barren draw although it would have easily ended with goals based on the chances that both teams created. The second half was more intense with the law enforcers having some slight edge. Francis Kahata in particular was impressive in the middle of the park causing Leopards problems. They however failed to make the many chances that they made count as they were thwarted by good defending from Ingwe. Ten minutes from time, the law enforcers got the all-important goal through striker David Simiyu, a strike that won them the game.FULL TIME Police FC 1 AFC Leopards 0#Betika #OursForever #INGWE— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) September 14, 2022 Both teams were in action over the weekend in friendly ties that ended in stalemates.
