Wazito line up friendlies against Tusker, Homeboyz as pre-season takes shape

Wazito FC head coach Jeffers Odongo is happy with the team’s progress in pre-season ahead of the new season and adds that the new signings have settled in fast enough.The FKF Premier League side, started their preparations for the 2022/23 FKF Premier League campaign two weeks ago, over a month after most teams had commenced their preps. The team is now based in Kisumu under new ownership.Odongo, who is now in charge of the team says that pre-season is taking shape well. He also notes that he picked some lessons in Sunday’s 3-1 over Muhoroni Youth in a friendly match that was staged at the Muhoroni Stadium.”Our pre-season started late but we are picking up well, the new players have settled in fast enough and generally I am happy with the progress that we have made. They play the Brewers on Thursday in Muhoroni before facing Homeboyz in Kisumu on Saturday and the tactician believes that the two matches will help the team gauge its preparedness.”We have two big friendly games coming up. We play Tusker on Thursday in Muhoroni and Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday at Moi Stadium in Kisumu. These are teams that finished in the top two positions last season and we believe that they will give us a real test that we need, it will help us gauge how prepared we are for the new season, ” he added.The team has so far signed five players.
