Kenya Police head coach Samuel ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has tipped the duo of Patilah Omoto and Reagan Otieno to flourish in the new season owing to the flashes of brilliance depicted by the two in pre-season test matches.Police signed Omoto from Kariobangi Sharks while Otieno surprisingly ditched KCB for the free-spending law enforcers who brought in five players in the recently shut transfer window.##NAJAVA_MECA_6651286##Speaking after their barren draw against Sharks played last weekend at Utalii grounds, Pamzo waxed lyrical on the two players and the other new signings. He said Omoto had convinced him that he is the man who will be tasked with the responsibility of anchoring the midfield while Otieno’s fleet-foot and trickery on the wings will help in creating chances.”Omoto is an experienced player who will be key in our midfield while Otieno has always shown the hunger to carry the ball forward. His positioning is good and I believe he will be fully ready by the time the season gets underway considering that he had returned from injury recently,” he said.Meanwhile, Pamzo welcomed the delay in the start of the campaign saying that it will afford him time to prepare adequately. The 2022-2023 season was supposed to get underway last month but was pushed back to pave way for the general elections. Kenyan defender surprised by Swedish National Team recallThe outgoing FKF Transition Committee stated in a communique that the term will begin later in the month but with the federation set to take over after close to ten months in the cold, the season is likely to start late next month.”The delay is a blessing in disguise for me and other coaches for it will give us time to prepare well,” he added.
