Kakamega Homeboyz are not in a hurry to name their new coach owing to the confusion surrounding Kenyan football, chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has revealed.Homeboyz have been without a coach for over two months now. Bernard Mwalala who has since joined Ulinzi Stars as the head coach left the club in July and the club is yet to name his successor. Nzoia’s Salim Babu, William Muluya of Kariobangi Sharks, Bidco United’s Anthony Akhulia, and Mike Mururi of Vihiga United are some of the coaches that have been linked with the club in recent weeks but none of them has struck a deal with the club. The 2021/22 season league runners up however insist that they are not in a haste to name Mwalala’s successor. According to Shimanyula, the confusion surrounding when the league will start has played a part in it, and are okay with technical director Edward Manoah running the show in the meantime. The FKF Transition announced that the league is set to start on the 24th of September while returning FKF President says the league will commence in a month’s time.FIFA, CAF,Harambee stars, Harambee starlets, The Premier League, All Leagues, Football pale mashinani, Coaches, Referees and all officials.Get ready pale pre-season shughuli ndio hii. There is no need of having to pay people money with all this confusion surrounding football in the country, we are not going to rush. Right now the team is under our technical director who is an experienced coach and he is doing a good job so far,” Shimanyula said.He however admits that they have been engaging a number of coaches on the side and added that a number of good tacticians have expressed interest in the job.“We are talking to a number of good coaches. So many coaches are interested in taking charge of this club and we will eventually settle on the right coach but for now our technical director will continue preparing the team as we wait for clarity on when the league will start,” he added.Oyoo promises to deliver league title after joining Thika Queens
