Another defeat for Juve – Will Allegri survive humiliation by Monza?

Juventus CEO Arrivabene said before the Monza game: “It would be completely crazy to sack Allegri right now. Allegri has a project here at Juventus to be developed in the next four years. We have a long-term project here, I’m involved too as a CEO”. Maybe he still thinks like that after another defeat, but the reality is very different – after today’s humiliation, the horrible display and growing fans’ pressure, this was maybe Allegri’s final game in charge.1 – Before Monza, Catanzaro was the only team to have won their first #SerieA game against Juventus. The newly promoted club, owned by former AS Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi and Galliani had no wins after the first 6 rounds, but today they had an unlucky victory against the Italian giant, who is on shaky ground. The ‘Old Lady’ is on its knees at the moment, they cannot win at all, and what’s worse, they don’t have any idea how to play. Never mind the injuries to key players (Pogba, Chiesa), they don’t have an identity on the pitch, which is a direct mistake by coach Allegri, who was serving his suspension today and was not on the pitch, but it doesn’t change things.

Monza take the lead with Gytkjaerpic.twitter.com/mW0DOYBN50— $🇵🇰 (@samirsynthesis) September 18, 2022 Today against Monza, the helplessness of Juve was on display, even with great midfielders like Paredes and Di Maria on the pitch. Unlike the game with Benfica, in which Juve lost, but at least had some good chances and possession, this was the worst display since the start of the season. And even the most experienced ones, like Angel Di Maria had a nightmare game. The Argentinian made a needles elbow hit in the 40th minute and got the red card (a bit harsh), so the visitors were a man down the whole second half. Former Juve player Raffaele Palladino had a head coaching debut in today’s game as Monca manager and he couldn’t have wished for a better start. The narrow victory was secured by Gytkjaer, who tucked in from close range after a cross from Ciurria. On the other hand, Juve had only 40% possession and 2 shot on target.
