Kenya Police FC head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo is in doubt about the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) kicking off this weekend with the team gearing up for the Elite Pre-season Cup.The pre-season tournament is set to feature six teams in the name of Nairobi City Stars, Kenya Police, Gor Mahia, Kariobangi Sharks, Sofapaka and Bidco United who were included after Ulinzi Stars pulled out.Sofapaka sign former Tusker midfielderWith the league kick off already pushed twice, Pamzo revealed that teams are shying away from the FKF Transition Committee led league.“I do not think the league will start on 24th because I think teams do not want to participate in a league that they know should they win there will be no prize money.We have a tournament coming up of six teams and we will be focusing on that although we are waiting for communication from the office,” said Pamzo.##NAJAVA_MECA_6651472##Police suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Bidco United on Saturday as they surrendered a two goal lead in the game to suffer defeat after capitulating in the second half.Pamzo added that the club is awaiting communication from the head honchos to determine if they will honour the league fixtures which were initially slated to kick off on Saturday 24 September but former FKF President Nick Mwendwa asked teams to prepare for the league kick off in one month.Kenyan on target in Finland as ‘Marcelo’ bags assist for AIK“The Transition Committee had already released fixtures and we are starting the season against Bandari so we will wait for communication from the management.I don’t really know if we will honour the league fixtures or the Elite Cup tournament but the tournament will be of great help because they are Premier League teams and it will be a good gauge to know where my players are and there is also some prize money,” added Pamzo.
