FKF Premier League side Ulinzi Stars have pulled out of the Elite Pre-season Cup a day before the commencement.The team has since been replaced by Bidco United maintaining the number of teams that had been shortlisted to grace the maiden edition of the competition.Kariobangi Sharks, Kenya Police, Gor Mahia, Sofapaka, Nairobi City Stars and Bidco United will grace the tournament that will be staged at the Utalii Grounds.It is not yet clear as to why the club opted out of the competition. In an earlier interview coach Bernard Mwalala who took over at Ulinzi Stars a few days ago said he believes that he will have an opportunity to watch his players closely during the six-day tournament whose final will go down on Sunday afternoon.“I am new in the team and it is a chance for me to watch the players closely in semi-competitive situations. It will be beneficial for all teams because I believe that all teams come into the competition prepared and they are definitely going to give their best in the matches, it is a good preparation ahead of the new season,” he added.The Soldiers were set to play Kariobangi Sharks on Tuesday.
