With some light flickering at the end of the Kenyan football tunnel with regards to the kick off of the 2022-2023 season, National Super League (NSL) side Migori Youth FC have called for trials.Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa hinted that the local leagues could kick off on Thursday 20 October as he is reported to resume office following his ousting by CS Amina Mohamed back in November 2021.Migori Youth lose five players to FKFPL sidesMigori Youth head coach Kevin Oluoch revealed that the trials will be open for everyone as he looks to build a new team following a mass exodus in the current transfer window.“We are encouraging players from across the country to come for trials which will be one week long as we will be looking to strengthen all departments.##NAJAVA_MECA_6660754##The team lost a number of key players in the current transfer window and we are looking to replace the players as we prepare for the coming season,” said Oluoch.Migori lost a number of key players who joined various Premier League sides including Ben Stanley, Lucky Musyoka, Clinton Okoth, Clifford Ouma, and Tyson Omondi.With the club operating on a shoestring budget, Oluoch added that they will opt for young players but will need a few experienced players to balance the team.Migori Youth confirm celebrated ex international Kevin ‘Stopper’ Oluoch as new head coach“We are looking for young players between the age of 18 and 20 but we are also after a few experienced players to create a perfect blend in the team.All the players need to have is talent, but having NSL, Division One or Two experience will be an added advantage in the trials,” added Oluoch.
