Mahia chairman pleads with disgruntled players to avoid rushing to FIFA

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has urged players to stop reporting the club to FIFA over nonpayment of salaries saying it is not the club’s wish not to settle dues.K’Ogalo have had their run-in with the world football governing body FIFA for failing to honour their contractual obligations and are currently under a FIFA-imposed transfer embargo, they will only be able to recruit players in January 2023.Players who took their matters to FIFA include; Jackson Owusu, Shafik Batambuze, Dickson Ambundo, and the latest is Malian goalkeeper Adama Keita who has since been awarded a payout of over one million shillings but has gone back to FIFA demanding more money.Gor Mahia to pay Malian keeper over one million shillings for breach of contractThe long-serving football boss however says it is not their wish to fail to pay players. He pointed out at financial challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.“We have had various difficulties aggravated by Covid-19. We didn’t have money to do so” he stated.On Friday the club unveiled a new sponsor and the long-serving chairman hopes that the partnership will last for long.“This partnership took a very short time to execute, actually a day.
