FKF Premier League clubs have vowed not to travel to Muhoroni Stadium to take on Wazito FC on security grounds and they insist that the newly relocated side will have to find alternative home grounds.Swedish businessman Ricardo Badoer recently sold Wazito to a Kisumu-based engineer identified as Joe Odongo and this resulted in the team relocating from the capital. Recent changes made in the technical bench that saw four members from Muoroni Youth FC join Wazito bench indicate that there could be more than what meets the eye in terms of ownership of the club.Last week, FKF Premier League clubs CEOs met at Westlands in Nairobi and resolved that they were not going to honour a league not recognized by the world football governing body, FIFA, and in the process dealt a big blow to the FKF Transition Committee’s hopes of running the league for another season. The Transition Committee have released fixtures.Their league starts on Saturday. I can see they have included teams that swore not to play in a league not recognised by FIFA.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/7D3dO6DNhW— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) September 26, 2022 Another issue that emerged during the meeting is FKF PL clubs’ unwillingness to travel to Muhoroni Stadium for matches. In the past, there have cases of hooliganism reported at the facility during matches involving Muhoroni Youth and clubs now want the team to shift its matches from the venue to preferably Moi Stadium, Kisumu, or Kericho Green Stadium.“We will not go to Muhoroni for matches; you can take that to the bank. We all know what happens to visiting teams there and we are not going to take chances. There are safer stadiums within the region and they should consider moving their matches to Kericho or Kisumu if they are teams to travel for their home games. This is an issue that most clubs agree on and we will formally write to the federation and request that they be instructed to move their games,” one of the CEOs told Mozzart Sport.Meanwhile, the Transition Committee insist that the league will commence on Saturday despite the clubs’ announcement that they will only play in a FIFA-backed league.Pre-season camp helped me know my players better – Matano
