Christian Pulisic was linked with Juventus this summer, but he stayed at Chelsea because the Old Lady did not accept the London club’s offer to swap Matthijs de Ligt and the American international plus more cash. The Italians only wanted money, so the Dutchman ended up in Bayern Munich for 67 million euros, to the disappointment of the Blues, but also of the American winger, who does not hide that he is not satisfied with the playing time in London. The mood at Stamford Bridge however, could change as early as this winter. Reportedly, Juventus have started negotiations with Pulisic’s manager and will try to bring him in during the winter transfer window.Juventus have reportedly opened preliminary talks with Christian Pulisic’s agent, with the USMNT international eager to leave Chelsea in the summer.Pulisic’s contract runs out in June 2024 and according to the report, Chelsea want at least €35m to sell him. pic.twitter.com/L9VMhobAX0— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) September 26, 2022 The American’s contract with Chelsea expires in the summer of 2024, so the Italians will have to pay compensation, which, according to Calciomercato, amounts to 35 million euros. That’s how much Chelsea is asking for, although Juventus are hoping for a lower figure since the former Borussia Dortmund player does not have a notable role in the club he arrived at in 2019. The Blues then paid 64 million for him in the January transfer window, but he was left on loan to Borussia until the end of the season. Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, he has played 123 games in which he scored 25 and set up 19 goals. His arrival at Juventus might be a cover up for Angel Di Maria, as the experienced Argentine signed a one-year deal this summer.Lukaku doesn’t plan to come back to ChelseaBut the deal could prove to be a tougher then expected for two reasons: the first one could be the playing time for Pulisic. The new Chelsea boss Graham Potter might use him more then Thomas Tuchel did so the American might change his mind about leaving. The second part is the money. Juventus signed a couple of players this season on a loan with an obligation to pay for them in June 2023, so with all these funds already reserved for the 2022 signings, it will be interesting to see where the Old Lady will find the additional funds.##NAJAVA_MECA_6667983##
