Kariobangi Sharks head William Muluya says the league starting at the end of October will give him more time to prepare the squad after mass signings witnessed at the club in the last few weeks.Muluya recruited over 20 players to replace the 22 that they lost at the end of last season; a number of players joined other clubs while others were axed by the club. The team majorly recruited young players and are now focused on pre-season ahead of the new season that according to the federation starts on the 22nd of October. The team is currently taking part in the Elite Pre-season Cup at the Kasarani Annex. They have won a game and drawn the other against Bidco United and Sofapaka FC respectively. Their final match will be against FKF Division One side, Rainbow FC on Tuesday afternoon.✍🏿| Kevin Musamali is here.🗞️| The tough tackling defender joins from Soy United.#WeAreSharks #BetwaySharks pic.twitter.com/XmYlVrcBmb— Kariobangi Sharks FC (@k_sharksfc) September 25, 2022 Muluya has welcomed the decision to postpone the league kick-off date saying it will help them gel with the club boasting of arguably the youngest squad in the league.“It is going to help, it is definitely going to help us, especially on the cohesion of the team, it is something that I believe will get better with more training sessions,” he told Mozzart Sport. The tactician is however contented to have a team. He says having a squad that is currently featuring in the Elite Cup is itself a big achievement.“If I managed to formulate a team that is playing in the Elite Pre-season, I can say that I am at 80% plus and that is an A. Remember we lost 22 players at the end of last season but somehow we have managed to build another team, and so far we have done well, what is left is fine-tuning the team and we will be good to go,” he added.Sofapaka’s new signing delighted after getting off the mark
