Ababu Namwamba has been appointed the Cabinet Secretary for Sports and Youth Affairs by President William Ruto in the list named in Tuesday afternoon.The former Budalangi Member of Parliament (MP) is set to take over from Amina Mohamed who was serving in the same capacity in the previous regime. His first reign is remembered for enactment of the long desired Sports Act, actualizing the National Youth Council, strengthening of the National Youth Service (NYS) and Streamlining the National Youth Enterprise Fund.Ababu Namwamba holds a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree from American University, Washington College of Law, Washington D.C. He also has a Diploma in Legal Practice, Kenya School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from the University of Nairobi.In 2012 Hon.
