Veteran MCF forward Anthony Nyangor says the lessons gathered from their participation in the first edition of the Elite pre-season Cup will go a long way in getting them ready for the new season.MCF were the sole team from the National Super League in the competition that was comprised of eight sides with Rainbow FC representing the Division One and the rest, coming from the top flight.##NAJAVA_MECA_6686227##The Yatta based club crashed out of the tournament at the group stage level after losing all their matches to Ulinzi Stars, Nairobi City Stars and Kenya Police.The team, despite losing all matches gave a good of themselves in the first halves but got overwhelmed in the final stanzas.Nyangor who joined the club from Kisumu All Stars says the tournament helped expose their weak areas ahead of the start of the new season.”We might have lost all our matches but at least we played well. We got punished heavily in the second halves in all the matches we played something which I am sure the technical bench will work on before the term gets underway.
