Africa 100m record holder Ferdinand Omanyala has urged athletes to put more emphasis on education which will go a long way in enhancing their careers on the track.Omanyala who joined the University of Nairobi to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry six years ago honed his sprinting career while turning out for the Varsity rugby team.Ayunga eyes Harambee Stars call upThe 26-year-old admitted that education played a massive part in him realizing his sprinting career as he urged other athletes to merge education with their talents.“Education is what built me to where I am today because I always say if I was not here in Nairobi, maybe I could not be where I am today. I came to Nairobi because of my education.
