Tanzanian outfit Azam FC have been handed a massive shot in the arm after Harambee Stars creative midfielder Kenneth Muguna resumed full training following over a month-long injury-enforced absence.Muguna has not been in action for the ice cream makers since 30 August 2022 and his planned return to action back in September was delayed when he suffered another setback to the minor injury he had earlier picked up.Blow for Azam as Muguna suffers yet another injury“Just came back from a minor injury only to suffer another one in today’s session. It is frustrating, but that is part of life we have to deal with in our job. I will not be available for some time but I am positive I will overcome it and get back to the pitch sooner,” he posted on 20 September. After sitting out three more weeks since suffering the setback, the former Gor Mahia captain revealed that he had fully gotten back on the pitch for training.“God is great. Feels good to be back on the pitch,” he captioned a picture of him in training on his social media platform accompanied by a love heart.God is great Feels good to be back on the pitch ❤️ pic.twitter.com/wIh9tGjrlB— Kenneth Muguna Mugambi (@KennethMuguna10) October 12, 2022 Since his absence, Azam have won two games in the league, drawn once, and lost once in the four games they have played. This past weekend, the team received a huge blow in their continental quest as they were thrashed 3-0 by Libya’s Al Akhdar in the first leg of their second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup clash.##NAJAVA_MECA_6715903##With the two teams set for the return leg this Sunday 16 October, it remains to be seen whether Muguna will play any part in the fixture or if the games come too soon for him.
