FKF Premier League sides, Sofapaka and KCB will face off in a friendly match on Saturday at the KCB Leadership Centre in Karen.With the league kick off date still unclear, the two teams will be using the match to keep fit as they wait for the commencement of the new season which according to Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is at the end of October.Teams have been in pre-season for three months now. KCB assistant coach Zedekiah Otieno has termed as an exciting match to look forward to. He added that they are impressed with how the team has been performing during pre-season.“Sofapaka is an equally good side and we look forward to an exciting match when we face them on Saturday. So far, we have been on a good run in pre-season and every coach is happy when his team registers good results,” he told the Star.The former Kibera Black Stars and Nzoia Sugar FC boss hopes that the current stalemate will be resolved soon so that that the 2022/23 season can commence in the earnest.“I would urge sports stakeholders to engage to ensure there is clear guidance on matters of football in the country,” he added.The Bankers head into the new season as one of the sides expected to challenge for the title.
