CF Montreal coach Wilfried Nancy and midfielder Lassi Lappalainen are wary of the threat posed by Orlando City ahead of Monday’s MLS playoff between the two sides at Montreal’s Saputo backyard. The high-flying Canadian side will host Orlando at Saputo with a semifinal ticket at stake. Montreal finished the season in the second position in the Eastern Conference while City took the final playoff slot after finishing in the seventh position.##NAJAVA_MECA_6724278##In terms of form, Victor Wanyama’s Montreal are currently in a fine run. They have had six wins in the last ten games. Orlando on the other hand lost four of their last six matches and let in 13 goals in the matches, an indicator that they have issues at the back.Nancy appreciates the steps his team has made for the last one year but is wary of Orlando saying anything can happen in the playoff as it is a one-off game.“This team has built something starting from last year and we’ve improved on that by working, learning, and competing every single day. The numbers speak for themselves, but I’m more interested in the substance of our game and that’s something we’ve delivered all season. All I can say is bravo,” he said.“Every year you’re going to get surprises towards the end of the season and in the playoffs. We’re starting a completely new competition now and anything can happen. We can dominate all games and they can score at the last minute or vice versa, but all we can do is prepare the best we can and focus solely on this game.”Last year, Orlando denied Montreal a playoff spot and although Lappalainen recognizes that they can cause an upset, the Finnish midfielder is more bullish.“I think it doesn’t really matter who we play. Orlando are a pretty good team but in every game, we’re the favorites so it doesn’t change anything. It was a long time ago. Of course, it was a bummer but if we come here and fight, we will win for sure.”Joseph Okumu opens up on failed moves to EPL and Ligue 1
