The signing and registration of FKF Premier League (FKF-PL) players in the FIFA Connect Portal has commenced today in readiness for the league kick-off on 12th November.This was confirmed by FKF Premier League clubs on Monday after a meeting of CEOs at a Nairobi Hotel. It will be opened from October 20 and will run for a period of thirty days,” said Gor Mahia CEO Raymond Oruo.In the absence of FIFA Connect, the Transition Committee devised its own mechanism for registering and issuing player cards. FIFA blocked Kenya’s access to the system after there was some access to the system by unauthorized individuals.This also means that clubs are at liberty to recruit players despite the window that had been opened by FKF Transition Committee, whose mandate expired on Sunday was closed. A number of players like Ulinzi Stars were keen on beefing up their squads further.
