National Super League side Kibera Black Stars have elected to promote their assistant tactician Evans Ogutu to the rank of head coach ahead of the start of the new season.Kibera have been without an head coach for the last two months following Paul Ogai’s exit. The latter left Kibera, an outfit he had joined in February for the 2009 Kenyan champions Sofapaka.Earlier on, the club had attracted more than half a dozen applications from tacticians who were eyeing to succeed Ogai but according to the club’s Secretary General Daniel Magara, the plans of hiring a new gaffer have been shelved.##NAJAVA_MECA_6745657##Among the coaches who had been linked to the vacant coaching job at Kibera include former Tusker and Bandari assistant coach George Owoko but Mozzart Sport understands that negotiations between him and the club did not bear fruit.The administrator confirmed that Ogutu, a CAF D coaching course license holder who had been serving as an assistant for two seasons had been handed the head coach role on a season-long deal.”Ogutu will handle the team going forward.
