Benson Omala and Enosh Ochieng grabbed a brace a piece as Ulinzi Stars and Gor Mahia played out to a 2-2 draw in a pre-season friendly match staged at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Saturday morning.The two sides had played a couple of build up matches prior to the Saturday meeting. Last time out, Ulinzi had defeated Kenya Navy FC 2-0 on Friday while Gor Mahia walloped TUK FC 8-1 six days ago.##NAJAVA_MECA_2116##Gor Mahia striker Benson Omala broke the deadlock in the 20th minute to hand the visitors the lead. The advantage however lasted for just five minutes before Enosh Ochieng capitalised on an error at the back to draw the soldiers level.The turn-around was completed a minute after the half hour mark when Ochieng got to the end of a Swaleh Chacha cross for an easy tap in. Gor Mahia goalkeeper, Gad Mathews pulled a huge save to deny Jacob Onyango and keep his side in the game in the 38th minute. Ulinzi took a 2-1 lead to the break.Second half The second half was more even with both teams creating chances. Sydney Ochieng had a great chance to draw Gor level at the hour mark but Sylvaine Omondi on Ulinzi goal pulled a huge save to deny him. John Macharia was next but his attempt in the 70th minute went wide.Just as Ulinzi Stars thought they were about to get a win, Omala popped up with a leveler in stoppage time.The two sides, just like other FKF Premier League teams will continue preparing for the new season which according to the clubs’ CEOs will commence on 12th November.
