KCB head coach Zedekiah Otieno has backed his little-known legion to thrive when the 2022/23 FKF Premier League campaign gets underway. The Bankers were one of the busiest sides during the off-season transfer window bringing on board 13 players. Their signings are a blend of seasoned names such as Harun Mwale, Danson Chetambe, Francis Kahiro, Bryne Omondi, Kennedy Owino, Nicholas Kipkirui, Kevin Okumu, and Maurice Ojwang.##NAJAVA_MECA_6745618##The club also made signings of players with lower profiles majorly from the lower leagues. Some of the include; Hillary Ojiambo Dukussy, Nashon Wekesa, Haniff Makale, Bramwell Chemweno, and Edmond Adem to boost their ranks. The players appear to have impressed the seasoned tactician already. Last weekend they featured in the second half during a friendly match against Sofapaka that ended in a barren draw and Zico is happy with the performance of what he can term his second-string team.“It is all about having good cover in each and every department and also you bring in unknown players and so far they are doing a good job. Against Sofapaka for example they played very well in the second half and we were almost scoring in that half. They are good players who will give us good cover heading into the new season,” he said. The tactician further wants the new campaign to commence soon saying further delays are hurting clubs. It’s affecting each and every team not just us because we train to play and after games, you gauge yourself and improve on whatever you’ve done but right now we are just training not knowing when the league I’d going to kick off and I hope with the new administration in place, I think the sooner the better for us as teams, ” he added.Ulinzi to clash with Gor behind closed doors on Saturday
