630 million in three years: Mbappe’s monster deal with PSG is the biggest in the world of sport

Kylian Mbappe is unhappy at PSG, he denies it, but all French media are talking about it. And one thing is certain – it’s not because of the money. And why should it be? According to Le Parisien, who had a detailed view of Mbappe’s contract, the young Frenchman is to earn a mouth-watering 630 million gross over the period of three years! Per leparisien: The contract between Kylian Mbappé and PSG is worth a total amount of 630 million euros gross over 3 years, the biggest ever signed in the history of the sport. pic.twitter.com/jPpjOEy0eW— All Sportz 🏀⚽ (@Allsportztv) October 23, 2022 This biggest contract in the history of sports (not only football), is consisted of the initial two-year deal, with an option for a third, but that option is only available to the player, meaning the club cannot activate it, only Mbappe. His annual salary in PSG is 72 million euros gross (around 36 million net), which is an increase of around 300% over his former wage. But that is not all. He has also agreed on a signing bonus of 180 million euros gross, which will be paid in three instalments (every July). And that’s not all either. He also has a so-called ‘loyalty bonus’ paid at the end of each summer transfer window if he is still at the club. He got the first one recently and it was around 70 million euros gross. The next two would be 80 million (in 2023) and 90 million euros gross (in 2024). So, all in all, 630 million euros gross over the next three years. Not bad at all. The broken promises which led to Mbappe’s unhappiness in ParisAfter such a sum, the next logical question would be – is there anyone richer? The answer is – no. Le Parisien claims that his current teammate Lionel Messi is the second on the list with his 2017 deal with Barcelona, for which he got 555 million euros gross over four years. The NFL star Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is in third place after he signed his 10-year, 510 million euros gross deal signed 2 years ago. The next on the list is the American boxer Floyd Mayweather who signed a contract with the broadcaster Showtime in 2013, which included six fights to be made in thirty months (456 million euros gross). Canelo Alvarez from Mexico, also a boxer is right behind him with a 370 million euro gross contract over five years with the streaming service DAZN, signed in 2018. And Mbappe is unhappy at PSG.##NAJAVA_MECA_6746835##
