KCB assistant coach Godfrey ‘Solo’ Oduor is impressed by winger Kennedy ‘Daddy’ Owino’s progress weeks after he rejoined the club. The speedy winger rejoined the Bankers two months ago on a one-year deal. This is after a two-year stint that did not work out as he would have wished as he was injured for the better part of his stay with the now-relocated FKF Premier League outfit.##NAJAVA_MECA_6757265##The last time the winger played a league match was in November 2020 and has been out of action for nearly two years now. He underwent knee surgery that sidelined him for over a year and has been working on his comeback. The Bankers took a risk with him, handing the 2014 Young Player of the Year a one-year deal, he is expected to replace Reagan Otieno who left for Kenya Police FC.Oduor has now explained why they decided to re-sign the forward. He believes that the player has the ability to hit the ground running again after recovering from surgery.“It is true that he has not played football for a while but we know of his quality. Daddy is and has always been a good player, so we decided to give him a second chance. He has recovered from the injury fully and we are confident that he will do well when the league starts,” he stated. The attacker has already left a mark in training and the tactician believes that once he is fully back to his best, he will thrive.“He has impressed so far, he has brought in something that we did not have in the team and as the technical bench, we are satisfied. We will keep pushing to improve further and if we can have the Daddy that we had before he left the club back then we will have an outstanding player in our hands,” he added.Highly rated Kakamega Homeboyz defender angles for potential move to Denmark
