FKFPL sides line up weekend friendlies

As the date for the new campaign as announced by the club’s CEOs earlier in the month draws near, Football Kenya Federation Premier league sides continue to set up test matches amongst themselves as well as with teams from other leagues.This weekend will not be an exception, with a couple of matches involving those sides on the cards from Friday stretching all the way to Sunday.2009 league champions Sofapaka FC will kick off the busy weekend schedule with a match against Nairobi City Stars at Vapor Grounds starting at 9 in the morning.The two sides have been busy in the transfer market in the off-season and the friendly matches come in handy to help the respective coaches choose the right combinations as well as foster team chemistry.Saturday will be a busy day at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Lang’ata with two matches lined up at the venue.AFC Leopards will take on Posta Rangers in the first match set to kick off at 10 Am, with Ulinzi Stars hosting Kariobangi Sharks at the same venue later at 3 PM.Unlike last weekend when the Soldiers played against Gor Mahia behind closed doors, this time the complex will be open to fans in both matches but they will have to part with Ksh 100 for the regular tickets and Ksh 200 for the VIP according to a communication by Ulinzi.🔵 UPDATE🗓️Friday plot⚽We will play @NrbCityStars in a build up match⌚9:00 am📍Vapor grounds#BatotoBaMungu pic.twitter.com/xBEkj3kHzd— Sofapaka FC (@FC_Sofapaka) October 27, 2022 On Saturday still, Kenya Police have a date with defending champions Tusker FC at Nyayo Stadium, with the match set to kick off at 3 in the afternoon.Record Kenyan Champions K’Ogalo were still planning on their weekend engagements at the time of publication, as per the club’s acting TM Victor Otieno.
