Free-spending National Super League side MCF is courting FC Talanta forward Davies Agesa following the reopening of the transfer window.The second-tier outfit displayed its purchasing power in the past window by signing more than ten players in what was seen as a move to build a team that will attain automatic promotion to the top tier.The Yatta-based club was on course to gain promotion in the first leg of the past term but ran out of gas in the closing stages of the season and consequently, finished outside the top three bracket.##NAJAVA_MECA_6756844##According to the club’s head coach David Mahira, the outfit is closely monitoring Agesa who interestingly joined Talanta two months ago after leaving Nairobi City Stars.The dreadlocked forward was among the more than a dozen players who left City Stars in the past window as the club sought to lace its squad with largely youthful players. Agesa has previously worked under Mahira at fourth tier outfit Boma FC.Resolute Nderitu keen on flourishing at Bidco“There is the need to add more firing power in our forward department and Agesa perfectly fits the profile of the striker we are looking for. He has the experience and was part of the City Stars squad that gained promotion two years ago,” he said.MCF are also chasing Murang’a Seal creative midfielder John Mwita among other players.Eyes on Namwamba as he takes oath of officeMeanwhile, Mahira disclosed that the club had completed the acquisition of Dennis Munyovi from Murang’a Seal.The right back was the best scoring defender in the second tier in the past season as he netted twelve goals and went on to net a brace in the promotion/relegation playoff. Seal lost to Wazito in the two-legged playoff.“Munyovi is our latest acquisition. He penned a year-long contract with us and I believe, he will do well. He is a player I know well having worked with him at Seal before,” he said.
