Bidco United goalkeeper Malvin Nderitu says he is ready for first team duties at the club despite habouring no experience in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League. The Thika based team acquired the custodian on a year-long deal following his stellar show in the National Super League with Fortune Sacco.The glove man who garnered some game time during the inaugural edition of the Elite pre-season Cup played last month openly declared his wish of playing regularly in the league.##NAJAVA_MECA_6757937##His acquisition from the Kirinyaga-based club was seen as a move to add depth in the goalkeeping department but he says, he is not comfortable with warming the bench.To achieve his dream, the 26-year old will have to beat the competition from the seasoned Lucas Indeche and former national U20 shot stopper Edwin Mukolwe who was the club’s first choice in the past campaign.Indeche who commands years’ experience in the Kenyan league and international exposure having played in South Sudan in the past also joined the club in the past window, returning to Thika where he launched his career.Eyes on Namwamba as he takes oath of office“The coach did not sign me to warm the substitutes bench. I believe he was impressed with my qualities and felt that I would be of help to the team. I will put my best foot forward in a bid to be ready for game time. The department has other good goalkeepers from whom I have and continue to learn a lot from. The competition will benefit us all and ultimately, the team as everyone will always want to be on top of his game,” he said.Prior to joining Fortune, Nderitu featured for Division One side Kangemi All Stars. He has also played for Jericho All Stars in the past.
