FKF Division One side, Rainbow FC and AFC Leopards played out to a 2-2 draw in friendly match staged at the Camp Toyoyo Grounds on Friday afternoon.With Saturday’s friendly match against Posta Rangers in mind, Ingwe fielded a team consisting largely of their fringe players. Captain Eugene Mukangula, Robert Mudenyu, Peter Thiong’o and Collins Shivachi were the fellow seasoned faces that started the game.Rainbow looked aggressive in the early stages of the game with Paul Jawwa, and Edward Omondi causing Ingwe defenders problems in search of an early breakthrough. Ingwe keeper Maxwell Muchesia twice denied Omondi.At the other end, Saad Musa and Josphat Lopaga and Victor Otieno came close for the Stanley Okumbi led outfit.Against the run of play, Leopards went ahead. Victor Otieno started the attack deep into the ball, passed the ball to Peter Thiong’o, the winger raced down the right before crossing the ball to Maxwell Otieno for an easy tap in.Eight minutes later, Rainbow won a penalty after Mudenyu fouled striker Omondi in the area. Jawwa stepped forward to take but he rattled the upright with Muchesia well beaten. Ingwe took a narrow lead to the interval.The second half was equally balanced with both teams attacking in search of more goals. Omondi continued to cause Ingwe problems while for Leopards Maxwell was their main attacking threat.Omondi finally got his goal in the 64th minute when he raced towards goal before firing past an onrushing Muchesia for parity. Four minutes later, Rainbow won another penalty and this time Jawwa beat Muchesia from the spot for a Rainbow lead.Ingwe’s late pressure paid off as Josphat Lopaga tapped in a late equaliser from from a Maxwell cross.
