Thika-based FKF Premier League side Bidco United have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Sydney Oduor from KCB for an undisclosed period of time.Oduor returns to Bidco after two seasons with the Bankers where he was the third-choice custodian and barely featured for the Zedekiah Otieno side, that are now left with two keepers in Gabriel Andika and Byrne Omondi. The other goalkeepers in the team are veteran Luca Indeche, Edwin Mukolwe, and Malvin Nderitu.“I can confirm that we have signed Sydney, he is back with the team. I now have four goalkeepers and I believe it is a good number because it will bring competition into that department, when you have few keepers, laxity tends to creep in and it affects how the team performs,” the tactician said.Oduor played a role in United’s promotion to the top tier in 2020 and according to the tactician, the custodian has the ability to reclaim his place between the posts. He adds that there will be no laxity between the posts with four keepers at his disposal.“He is a keeper we know because he played for us the season that we got promoted and kept many clean sheets and I believe that he has the ability to even start in goal.
