Kenya Police came from two goals down to hold Kenyan champions Tusker to a 2-2 draw in a friendly match played at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday. In a game that was fairly attended by fans who are also eagerly waiting for the season to get underway, Tusker appeared to be headed for a win but second half goals saw Police claw back and force the draw.Clinton Kinanga breached the Tusker defence in the first minute of the game drawing the attention of Patrick Matasi who came off in area in a bid to stop the man mountain forward from kissing the back of the net.FULL TIME It ends 2-2 at the Nyayo National Stadium.⚽Boniface Onyango, ⚽ Shaphan Oyugi⚽ Duke Abuya ⚽Harun Shakava pic.twitter.com/6TpKt3D5Is— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) October 29, 2022 Despite rounding off the experienced custodian, Kinanga, in a rather casual way failed to put the ball into the empty net much to the disappointment of the substitutes who were warming up to celebrate the opener. Seconds later, Matasi was forced to make a save as Elvis Rupia pulled the trigger outside the box after the defence allowed him room to control the ball and compose himself to test the goalkeeper. Tusker recovered from the sluggish start and began eating into the dominance of the law enforcers who had began the match on a positive note. There were no signs of a goal until Musa Mohammed brought Jackson Macharia down few yards from the area in the full glare of centre referee Yasin Badir who awarded the brewers a freekick. Boniface Onyango stepped up and superbly volleyed the ball to the left corner of Bonphas Munyasa who remained rooted to give Tusker the lead in the 28th minute. 83: Police draw level through Shakava’s header unmarked at the farpost.
