Three NSL clubs sold

The illegal trading of slots and relocation of teams in Kenyan football has continued with three National Super League (NSL) clubs now under new names, new management, and location.The vice contravenes Rule 8.1.8. They have acquired a slot from Muhoroni Youth FC with the latter taking Wazito FC’s slot in the top tier after buying the club from Swedish tycoon Ricardo Badoer. Muhoroni, who played in the third tier during the 2020/21 season bought their second tier slot from Western Stima last year and have now passed it to Gogo.“We will be playing in the National Super League. We have reached an agreement with Muhoroi Youth and we have acquired their slot, everything is complete,” a source disclosed.Former moneybags Dandora Love have also been acquired by a new owner and the club has been renamed Kajiado Football Club. It has since relocated from Jericho, Nairobi to Kajiado. Previously owned by the County government, the club has struggled financially in the last few seasons and has opted out of the league. Its slot has been taken by neighbours Luanda Villa who before acquiring the slot have been featuring in the FKF Division One League and narrowly missed out on promotion last season.
