National Super League side Naivas have promoted Augustine Okoba to the rank of head coach ahead of the start of the new season.The club has been without a substantive head coach since August following the exit of Jeff Maina who threw in the towel citing personal reasons.Okoba had been serving as Maina’s assistant was fully bestowed the responsibility to lead the shoppers going forward after handling the team throughout the pre-season period.##NAJAVA_MECA_6786953##The club’s Secretary General Moses Kamau revealed that the management was satisfied and had faith with Okoba handling the team in the coming season.“We have shelved the plan to hire a new coach after our assistant demonstrated that he was the right man for the job. He has done well during the months he was in charge. He said the club abhorred wholesome changes unlike most of second tier clubs who have made it a norm to constitute a new team in each and every transfer window.“We retained nearly all the players who were with us last season.
