Cameroonians Choupo-Moting and Moukoko score a brace each in super entertaining Bayern and Borussia wins

One was born in Germany and played for its national team before switching to his father’s country Cameroon, while the other one was born and raised in Cameroon but is now playing for Germany U21 team. They are Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Youssoufa Moukoko and one can only imagine what a pair they would have been at the upcoming World Cup if they were playing for the same country. They are currently terrorizing defenses in Bundesliga for Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund and they continued their striking spree today with a brace each in Bayern’s 3-2 and Borussia’s 3-0 win.Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has now scored in SEVEN consecutive games across all competitions. It’s Eric Maxim Robert Lewandowski Choupo-Moting now. 😅 pic.twitter.com/YPwCWMJMws— Squawka (@Squawka) November 5, 2022 Bayern travelled to Berlin to face Hertha and Bundesliga’s highest-scoring midfielder in Jamal Musiala opened the scoring in 12th minute, before Choupo-Moting scored two goals in two minutes. The Cameroonian scored at least one goal in his four consecutive matches and after years of filling in for Robert Lewandowski, he took his place in Bayern’s team and is now scoring from all positions and angles, and today, his second goal was scored with his left thigh. But just five minutes before the break, even though Bayern were three goals up and ‘camped’ in Hertha’s penalty area, the home team scored two goals. Lukebakio’s beautiful volley was followed by Selke’s penalty for 3-2.

The home team pushed for a sensational, total comeback after the break, but Nagelsmann’s squad were having none of it, as Bayern were closer to scoring the fourth one. They even did it, though it was an own goal, but it was voided due to an offside after the VAR review. Still, the Bavarians triumphed and kept their title hopes very much alive.##EDITORS_CHOICE##Unlike in Berlin, the game in Dortmund wasn’t so exciting. Similar to Bayern, Borussia also got the advantage quite early, with Moukoko scoring after a superb volley in the 8th minute and Reyna converted the penalty four minutes later. VAR canceled Bochum’s goal and nullified one Dortmund penalty before Moukoko used goalkeeper’s error and lobbed him from 30 meters for the third goal.Such an outcome affected the rest of the game, as both sides withdrew a bit, sat back and kept the pretty much the same pace until the final whistle.
