Kenyan internationals Topister Situma and Corazon Aquino were among the subs as their Tanzanian club Simba Queens overcame Green Buffaloes from Zambia 2-0 in the final CAF Women’s Champions League group A match played on Saturday at the Stade de Marrakech, Morocco.Aquino had started the opening two games against AS FAR and Determine Girls but did not leave a lasting mark and on Saturday, she was dropped for the all-important game. Captain Opa Clement got her second of the tournament to put the match beyond Green Buffaloes’ reach in the 79th minute. The hosts downed Liberia’s Determine Girls 2-0 to maintain their 100% record. Oumaima Harcouch and Ibitissam Jaridi scored the goals for AS FAR, both goals came in the second half.Simba will face the top that finishes top in group B while AS FAR will take on the runners-up.
