Sports CS Ababu Namwamba has challenged football fans across the country to turn out in large numbers and fill the stadium as the 2022/23 FKF Premier League season got underway on Saturday.There has been fans’ apathy in the stadia across the country, something that has been of concern to stakeholders. Am the happiest Sports Minister in the world today. I appeal to football fans to fill our stadia across the length and breadth of Kenya. Come cheer your favorite team and get our football back in the groove of fun & fervor,” the CS wrote on social media.Three FKF Premier League matches were played on Saturday. Gor Mahia defeated Nzoia Sugar FC while AFC Leopards defied the odds to beat Ulinzi Stars. Tusker FC shook off match day one curse to beat Kakamega Homeboyz in their backyard.Four more matches will be played on Sunday.
