Wazito FC will wait longer before they can feature in the new Football Kenya Federation Premier League, FKFPL season which kicked-off last week.The Kisumu-based side stayed out of the opening week, and are not included in second round fixtures that were released on Monday.Ken Okaka, the FKF Media and Communications officer, clarified that Wazito are equally affected by the Sports Dispute Tribunal, SDT recent order that temporarily stopped relegations/promotions in regards to the disputed 2021/22 football season.”The promotions and relegations case touches on all the three clubs,” said Okaka.A source within Wazito FC anonymously told Mozzart Sport that the situation is frustrating for them as they were looking forward to start their season this week. “FKF told us that we’re also affected by the tribunal (SDT) orders on relegations and promotions, and so we have to wait for the final verdict. The whole situation is frustrating, especially after the long preseason we were eager to compete, but now we have to continue training and hope the case is resolved soon.
