Kakamega Homeboyz head coach John Baraza has reversed praises to the experienced duo of Robinson Kamura and Elly Asieche for the efforts they put in their league opener played last weekend.The two players made their Homeboyz debut at the competitive level last Saturday when Ababa Abeingo fell 2-1 to champions Tusker at the Bukhungu Stadium.##NAJAVA_MECA_6834023##Kamura who joined the club after severing ties with KCB started at the heart of the defence while Asieche who arrived from Wazito came in the second half.Despite losing the fixture, Baraza said he was satisfied with how the two conducted themselves on the pitch even though they had not trained with the outfit for more than a week.Baraza who was also making his first appearance at the Homeboyz touchline having joined the club from Mara Sugar said Asieche depicted calmness and made a number of progressive passes as well as marshalled the midfield.No chance, former Ghana defender says side will lose to Portugal”Asieche is a player I have worked with at Sofapaka before and I know his strengths. He played well in the second half against Tusker despite training with us for a week. He is a creative player whose leadership skills have seen him skipper his previous two clubs, ” he said.Baraza on the other hand waxed lyrical on Kamura whom he termed as a perfect replacement to Sylvester Owino who left the club last month following the expiry of his contract.”The club lost a defender who left a huge gap in the backline.
