AFC Leopards working towards resolving transfer impasse

AFC Leopards Secretary General Gilbert Andugu says they have made strides in resolving the matter that has seen ten of their players remain unregistered due to technicalities arising from a FIFA transfer ban that the club is currently under.Leopards are serving a two-window ban for failing to pay their former captain Soter Kayumba his dues. The club will only be able to recruit players at the end of the 2022/23 season and only if they have paid the player in full.##NAJAVA_MECA_6843403##Before the match against Ulinzi, Ingwe released a statement announcing that they are going to miss ten key players in the game. They however still managed to beat Ulinzi 2-0 in the tie. “We would like to inform you that due to unforeseen technicalities, we will be unable to field ten of our players in tomorrow’s FKF Premier League match against Ulinzi Stars FC. This is being addressed, and we expect them to play in the upcoming matches,” read the statement from the club.The ten players locked out are; Emmanuel Lwanga, Ronald Sichenje, Loren James, Victor Otieno, Aboubakar Musha, Nester Olum, Cliff Nyakeya, Josphat Lopaga, Victor Omune, and Musa Oundo.
