Nairobi City Stars midfielder Ouma hopeful of scoring in his league debut

Nairobi City Stars defensive midfielder Clifford Ouma is praying to Mark his Football Kenya Federation Premier League debut with a goal when Simba wa Nairobi take on Tusker on Sunday.Ouma who joined City Stars in July from National Super League side Migori Youth has been drafted into the 18-man squad for the clash against the beer makers set for Ruaraka grounds.##NAJAVA_MECA_6848502##While announcing the match day squad, City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti included central defender Edwin Buliba who missed last week’s action.The stocky midfielder missed the league opener against Bidco United last Sunday at the Nyayo Stadium where they lost 2-0 to the Thika based club.According to the club, Ouma who skippered Migori in the past seasons replaces Kelvin Etemesi who made his league bow last weekend. Ouma pledges to fill Yidah’s shoes at City StarsOuma who is confident of earning some game time revealed his prayer of scoring his first league goal in his first day in the top league. “I have been working hard for the opportunity to play in the top flight. Having made it to the match day squad, I hope that I will be considered for game time. Should that happen, my hope is I will help the team farther maximum points by at least finding the back of the net,” he said.Ouma who is hopeful of filling in the big shoes left by Sven Yidah who ditched the club for South African side Marumo Gallants expressed optimism that City Stars will record the first win of the season.
